On February 28, Saturday, 9 volunteers from NCF Church in Pietermaritsburg, who are also part of NCMI’s Destiny Team, some members of River Church and volunteers from Missions4KZN, and the youth of Helping Hands boys’ home all got together to lay the foundations for new buildings to be built at the Helping Hands premises.
Starting as early as 7am, the group worked all day, stopping only for tea breaks and lunch, and finished laying the concrete foundations for the kitchen extension, and the new girls’ dormitory.
The main structures are scheduled to be built in June and July this year, with volunteers from the Netherlands coming to do the work through Missions4KZN.
We would like to extend a BIG thank you to everyone who made this activity a success. Special thanks to Martin and Jeanette Harder of Missions4KZN who organized the event and hosted the volunteers.
