Helping Hands Newsletter 2015 #4

December 16, 2015, Author: KNNKT

As the year draws to a close, we would like to take this opportunity to thank all our sponsors, donors, volunteers and friends who have made this another awesome year for Helping Hands. We would never have accomplished what we accomplished this year without your generosity, hard work and compassion.

The year has seen new buildings built, new people getting involved, many obstacles beyond our control being overcome, and new children coming our way who have benefited and continue to benefit from Helping Hands.

We have nothing much to say but thank you, thank very much from the bottom of our hearts!

And to our Heavenly Father who continues to watch over us and who provides for us abundantly in everything we need, praise and glory be yours in the precious name of Jesus Christ!

New Dormitory Building Completed

After months of hard work, construction of the new girls’ dormitory building was finally completed.

In September, we moved in the beds, shelves, mattresses and linens to make the rooms ready for our girls to move in.

At present, 4 of our girls occupy the rooms, and they are indeed very happy in their new space.

Christmas In November 2015 A Success!

On Thursday, November 19, Helping Hands had its Christmas in November party.

The event started at the Helping Hands’ home with a sharing from Sharon Groom about what Christmas was all about. From there, the group went to St Lucia where the kids had some fun time at the main beach.

After spending time at the beach, the group proceeded to Wimpy, St Lucia, where the children were treated to burgers, chips and ice cream sponsored by Wimpy.

HH Home New Managers

Helping Hands is very blessed to have volunteer couple Martin and Jeannette Harder as its new home managers. They are in charge of overseeing the day to day operations of the home.

Martin and Jeannette moved to South Africa from the Netherlands in 2012 and have since been involved in many outreach programs through a non-profit organization called CAN (Corelsa Aid-s Network).

Sponsor-A-Child New Beneficiaries

Two of our children are the latest beneficiaries in our Sponsor-A-Child Programme, bringing to 11 the total number of children receiving sponsorships.

They are 14-year old Thobane Ntsangase and 13-year old Muzi Biyela, both primary school students.

If you wish to take part in our Sponsor-A-Child Program, please email us at

Christmas Greetings!

As we enter the festive season and usher in the new year, we at Helping Hands would like to wish everyone a very blessed Christmas and the best of 2016!
