On Saturday, June 20, we finished the third phase of our Building Project at Helping Hands by pouring cement for floor slabs for both the dormitory and kitchen extension.
Volunteers from the Destiny Team @ NCF Church in Pietermaritzburg together with members of River Church International worked together from 7 am till 2 pm leveling the surface, putting wires and blocks, mixing and pouring cement for the floor slabs.
Our older kids also helped a lot by shoveling rocks and pushing wheelbarrows to and from the building site, while having lots of fun doing it.
This is the second time this year that volunteers from Destiny Team visited and helped with our building project. In March, a group of volunteers came to help lay the foundations for the buildings.
We would like to extend a BIG thank you to everyone who made this activity a success. Special thanks to Martin and Jeanette Harder of Missions4KZN who organized the event and hosted the volunteers.
