Objective of Helping Hands Trust

The principal objective of Helping Hands is to care for and provide a safe and nurturing environment for the orphans and vulnerable children attending the Monzi ULOA Primary School. Our vision is to impact the community surrounding the school, by creating small, family-centred child-care homes which form part of and add to the fabric of the community. These homes will house a maximum of eight boys or girls and will each be headed by a care-giver. The homes aim to provide a safe and secure environment where the children can grow and learn.

Our focus, after meeting as much of the children’s physical, emotional and spiritual needs as possible, is on their educational needs. We want to see these children complete school, and where possible, be equipped with a skill-set that will enable them to find employment, which will in turn have a positive impact on them, their families and the community in which they live.
